AD/BC is a musical with a panoramic plot: the Bible, from Genesis through to the Book of Daniel. The action starts with a group of frightened Christians, awaiting the lions in the Colosseum. As the Christians happen to be a travelling theatre group, they persuade a psychotic Emperor Nero that he should first let them entertain him with drama from their Book, trying to save their skins by offering Nero (a thorough ham) choice acting roles until he finally sets them free. Cast: 20

‘This is entertainment of the highest calibre. From creation to destruction and back, the show contains comedy, tenderness, satire, cruelty, lust and the triumph of faith…The music varies from soft rock rhythms to ballad style…and many scenes have fresh off-beat humour, like the whimsical one of Adam and Even in Eden, dressed in bunny suits and tempted by a portly snake…Three ladies of doubtful virtue, Bathsheba, Jezebel and Delilah, sing enticingly ‘We are what we are’, which could stand alone on its melodic and philosophic content.’ (The Express-Times)
