Shirlie is known for the healing, soothing and uplifting quality of her three-octave voice. She performs a wide variety of material, but has an innate ability to make any song her own, so regardless of whether you are listening to her own songs or a performance of traditional music, the healing vibration still rings through and touches the heart.

A Concert of Shirlie’s Music

Shirlie's music is a repertoire of melodic self-penned songs with positive lyrics reflecting everything from the inner self to environmental awareness. It ranges from relaxing, haunting, meditative music to uptempo and uplifting pieces and Shirlie can perform acoustically with acoustic guitar and piano in small venues, or with backing tracks and PA system in larger venues. She also gives concerts in schools, homes for the physically and mentally disabled and the elderly, all of whom seem to really enjoy the vibration of her music and is regularly invited as a soloist at weddings.

A Concert of Traditional Music

Shirlie"s Welsh, Irish and Scottish family roots are echoed in the celtic lilt of her traditional concerts. Over the years, in Slovenia, she has performed a repertoire of Welsh, Irish, Scots, English and Slovene folk songs at more than 200 concerts in baroque castles and churches around Slovenia, often with Slovene flautist Alenka Zupan as a purely acoustic event called Angel Sounds/Angelski Zvoki.

A Concert of Christmas Songs

Shirlie has a wide repertoire of Christmas Carols in English and Slovene to call upon and has performed Christmas concerts in many beautiful churches and venues around Slovenia.

From full-sized theatres, to old castles and wonderful acoustic churches, to schools, openings of art, sculpture and photography exhibitions, homes for the mentally and physically disabled, hospitals, and natural earth venues such as forests, lakes, caves and karst craters - Shirlie has performed at them all!
