1. Find Your Own Sound
An introduction to using your voice for self-healing, relaxation and release. Using a simple, practical method to work with the tones of the voice, you will leave the workshop having discovered and learned how to use a personal sound which suits your voice, body and emotional needs.
2. Sounds and Chakras
Working with the Lotus Flower Sound Meditation and your own personal sound, you will learn to understand, use and experience the vibration of sound in the body chakras (energy centres) to cleanse, clear and harmonise the body, both within yourself and working with partners.
3. Healing the Emotions: Working with the Elements
The Native Indians refer to Air, Earth, Water and Fire as the Four Chief Spirits. Using meditation, sound, simple song and movement reflecting these elements, plus the additional qualities of stone, wood and gold, we will work to release stress and old patterns, free your anger, your tears and your joy, and make contact with your own individual beauty.
4. Healing the Emotions: The Healing Power of Water
The element of water represents our emotions. We are seventy per cent water, and research shows that water can be programmed negatively or positively: the choice is yours. Using sound and meditation, we will connect with the spirit of water and learn how to programme our drinking water with positive energy, clear out our old patterns of thinking and speaking, and understand the power of our thoughts and our words.
5. Healing the Feminine
Not only do we carry programming from early childhood in the cells of our body, but very often we are also holding ancestral patterns which have been subconsciously passed down to us through the generations. Using sound to connect with the energy of the mother (or female role model), we will work to release unresolved patterns from childhood, link with and clear the female ancestral line, and gain an understanding of the challenges and gifts we genetically carry in our cellular structure. We will end with a sound meditation opening to receive on a deep inner level.
6. Healing the Masculine
Today we will connect with the energy of the father (or male role model), working with sound in the same way as yesterday to clear genetic patterning and the male ancestral line, ending with a sound meditation to focus on our outgoing path in the world. As you release the past, you will stand strong in the gifts of the present, and call your future to you.
7. Sound Medicine Animals
Are you a frog who would like to become a beautiful butterfly? Find the courage to face yourself and rediscover your true beauty, as you use sound, colour, meditation, visualisation and breathing, together with the qualities of eight Native American medicine animals. Focussing on the body's energy centres in simple yoga-like positions, you will experience becoming that animal, receiving its wisdom, and releasing your blocks to create inner harmony, using the sound of your voice.
8. Tree of Life
Trees are the most amazing teachers and have many gifts and lessons to offer us, if we will only take the time to connect and listen. This outdoor workshop will help you to tune into the trees with sound, link with roots, leaves and branches to release, transform, create and finally empower yourself, as you gently open to discover your oneness with every living thing and experience the wisdom and friendship of The Standing People (native American name for trees). In fact, you will never again take trees for granted and walk unseeingly past them, because a tree is a friend for life.
9. Releasing the Past
To change the outside, you first need to create new inner space. Working with the tones of the voice in a simple, practical manner to contact our blocks, we will let go of old emotions and memories and cleanse the energy centres and the cellular structure of the body. We will then use sound to change our inner critic "self-talk" and reprogramme it to inner supporter.
10. Manifesting Your Dreams
Using our newly-created inner space, we will focus on the unique gifts we brought with us into this life, and use sound, meditation, visualisation and creative writing to create new goals. We will work with our highest vibrational energy to manifest our dreams into a reality of new ideas, situations, people, and to hold a positive vision of ourselves and the world.
11. Taking Off The Mask - Originally devised in conjunction with Suzi Quatro
We all have facades we "put on" before we step out into the world. We use them to avoid expressing our real feelings in challenging situations, and to sidestep relationship issues with family, friends, lovers and colleagues. Using improvised drama and sound meditation, we will explore and face some of the challenges we've each created. Be prepared to take off your mask, act out what you are most afraid of, speak your truth and discover the power and joy of being the real star in your life.
12. Creative Writing With Sound
We are all uniquely creative beings, capable of producing inspiring work. Use your unique sound to focus the brain and allow your intuition to flow freely as you tune into nature and the creative consciousness, and write from the innermost part of yourself. Let go of self-judgement and self-limitation, transform writer's blocks into building blocks and become a "master builder" of your own ideas. Learn to work as a creative team by staging a group performance of what has been written during the workshop.
13. Picture Healing With Sound: Part One
The sound of the human voice is one of the most natural and simple healing tools, and can be used effectively with no musical knowledge or training. This workshop gives a brief, basic understanding of the use of sound healing on the self and with a partner to cleanse, relax, energise and heal the body and is specifically for those who wish to develop their study of sound healing for their own personal use and to help others.
14. Healing With Sound: Part Two
Following Part One, this workshop provides a more in-depth practical guide to working as a sound healer, with a deeper experience of how to discover, read and clear blocks in the body, plus how to deal with any problems that can arise. Learn how to create a healing space to work in, to tune in crystals with sound and use them, the importance of meditation, preparation and protection of the self before working as a healer, and how to connect with the pure rays of life-force energy and healing.
15. Calling All Angels
There are Angels of Sound and Angels of Healing, guiding angels, guardian angels, recording angels, and many more who are all waiting instruction to assist us. Use sound and chanting to call in the Angelic energy, experience the presence of your own personal angel guides and reconnect with the Angel within you.
16. Letting Go Of Fear
Are you aware that fear is a choice? That fear only exists in your mind? Do you or your fears run your life? Our true nature is love, but most of us are programmed from childhood to focus on three basic human fears. Through practical exercises together with sound, chanting and meditation, this workshop will help you to raise your vibration above any negative energies you might experience in yourself, the people around you and the fear culture of media and world politics. Allow yourself to let go of fear and discover the joy of choosing love.
17. Finding Your Power
It is the natural tendency of the mind to measure the success of who we are by looking into the past, or project fearfully into a future that has not yet happened. The most powerful place we can be is in the Present Moment, and it is only your mind that is holding you back. Focussing on the native Indian Twelve Iroquois Cycles of the Truth, we will use sound, chanting, meditation and visualisation to help us face and release the past, claim our true power and stand strong in the present tense of who we really are.
18. Teachers: Taking To The Stage of Life
To be a teacher is to go on stage in a different way, in front of a very different audience. From the way you stand, to the vibration of your voice, you are sending out hundreds of subconscious messages to your pupils. Using simple exercises with sound, voice toning and gentle movement, learn to release tension, relax with guided meditation, strengthen your voice and self-confidence to become a star performer in the classroom.
